Mom and I went to visit the local lighthouse. Hello? Have you seen the lighthouses in Maine? This is one puny lighthouse. Apparently, it has been underwater several times due to hurricanes and was moved about five times until it landed here. Kind of lame.

Anyhoo, not to bore you with yet even more armadillos, but here is my mum posing with one. The sucker was rooting and chewing away but when she got one step too close, it stopped cold. I don't want to say I've never seen her move so fast but I will say she made a rapid retreat (ok, the woman beat feet!)
